C & G Business Systems is a Western Australian owned and operated business which has been supplying software business solutions to Australian companies for over 26 years.
Our primary focus is on warehousing and distribution. Most of our customers are wholesalers or 'middlemen' between the manufacturer and the retailer. Some are also importers or local agents for large overseas or interstate companies. As a result our software has been added to and developed over many years with many of the features businesses of this type require.
We are extremely customer focused. Our products are provided on the basis that it will specifically tailored to the client's requirements. Our approach is NOT to provide plastic wrapped solutions but to provide a complete service encompassing not only initial installation and training but ongoing support and advice over the long term. We take the view that a good computer system should be merely a tool for performing and monitoring the functions of a company, therefore it must be fast, efficient and reliable.
In addition, our policy is get to know our customer and their business very well, and to try to understand the different ways of operating in their particular industry. Many of the features of our current system have been developed as a result of discussion with, and suggestions from, customers on how we could improve the system to suit them, in turn these features have been enhanced and added in to the system which we have today.
Most of our customers have been with us for many years for example several of our customers have been with us for over 17 years (in one case over 25 years.) Our customers have annual turnovers from around $ 4 million a year to over $ 500 million a year.
The type of industries our customers have been and are currently involved with include timber and building products, sheet products (laminates, plywood), electrical and white goods, hardware, stationery, liquor, food, industrial & mining supplies, photographical equipment, giftware, kitchenware and office supplies.
We are a small firm ourselves (6 employees) but this is in fact a point we pride ourselves on as we believe it enables us to provide a more personal, friendly form of service to our customers than could be the case with a larger concern. All our software is developed in house and is supported by the same people who created it. This means we can provide answers, support and solutions at a speed practically impossible with most software products.
All of this has helped ensure our long term viability in an industry where change is constant.
